Cookies Policy

 What are cookies?

Cookies are small text strings that allow the web server to store information on the user's browser to be reused during the same visit to the same website ("session cookies") or later, even after days ( "Persistent cookies").
A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user's hard drive or transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies.
Cookies may be "first party", when they report the website as a domain or "third party" if they are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called "third parties") from the one visited and on which some elements may reside (such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages from other domains) on the visited site.

Types of cookies based on their function

Cookies can have different functions and according to the function they are divided into:

  • Technical cookies which are those necessary for the website to function and in turn are divided into:
    • Navigation cookies: i.e. those cookies that allow normal navigation on the website
    • functional cookies: i.e. those cookies that, in order to improve the browsing experience, store the customizations chosen by the user (for example the language);
    • Analytical cookies: i.e. those cookies that are used to collect information on the number of users who visit the website and on how to visit. The Authority for the Protection of Personal Data has equated analytical cookies with technical cookies where analytical cookies are created and used directly by the first part site.

Please note that with reference to technical and analytical cookies, consent to the processing of personal data is not required; for "third party" analytical cookies, consent is not required only if tools are used to reduce the identifying power of cookies (for example IP anonymization) and if "third parties" do not cross the information collected through the Cookies with additional information they have.

  • Profiling cookies that are those that allow you to create user profiles in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same part of surfing the net; user consent is required for the use of these cookies.

ICOS S.p.A., informs you that on its website it uses only technical Cookies, also from "third parties", in order to allow and improve the functioning of the web page; Profiling cookies are not used.
In particular, the Cookies used by ICOS S.p.A. are identified below. on this website, as well as how to manage your preferences regarding them:

Analytical cookies (statistics and site optimization)
We use third-party profiling cookies from Google Analytics to analyze the way visitors use our sites and to monitor their access. This allows us to offer a high quality experience, customizing our offer based on the pages actually visited by users.

For example, we could use cookies of this type to track which pages are most popular, to identify the method of linking pages that proves to be most effective and to establish the causes for which some pages receive error messages.

These cookies do not collect information that allows you to identify a visitor. All data collected and shared with Google Inc. are anonymized (by eliminating significant components of the IP address both of the IpV4 and IpV6 type) and are used only to improve the functioning of our website. For regulatory purposes, the Analytics cookies of anonymous third parties are treated as technical cookies and do not require an information banner, informed consent and notification to the Privacy Guarantor. "

It is possible to eliminate the use of cookies; in this case, however, you will no longer have some functions necessary to navigate. We inform you that at any time you can disable the use of cookies on your computer by changing the configuration of your navigation browser.
